Eagle Eyed

Just got back from a fantastic trip camping in Maine with our friends Ann & Steve. I have gone camping since I was little. Maria, well, not so much. And while she is finally getting the hang of living out of a tent for a few nights, she still found a way to get into town with Ann and go shopping while Steve and I were Kayaking on Rangeley Lake, lol.

Steve and I just before launching our Kayaks.

I spotted a Bald Eagle gliding above. What an amazing site to see in person!!!

Visiting Tootie & Bobo in San Diego!!!

We had a blast in San Diego visiting my baby brother Kevin (aka..Bobo) and his sweetheart Maeghan (aka..Tootie). San Diego is by far my favorite city in the good old U S of A. And now I have my brother living out there as he just moved a few months ago from Boston. So since my business allows me to travel and be on the road for long periods of time, you just may see me in SoCal quite a bit in my downtime :-). Actually, we are working on landing a few weddings out there as well.

Kevin lives in Little Italy (heart of downtown SD). Little Italy is surely no North End of Boston, but the food is great, the people friendly, and you can still get good pizza and canolis. And from Little Italy, you can easily walk to the beach, Balboa Park (the SD zoo is right there), the Gas Lamp District (Bars, Bars, and more Bars) and Petco Park. Petco park looked amazing. You can buy a park pass and sit in the sand in the outfield for like $8.00. So when you get a chance, visit SD and if you can get a room, stay at the Coronado Hotel!

Tying the Knot Vegas Style!!!

We just shot an absolutely amazing "50's retro chic" styled wedding out in Las Vegas. When photographers Kristin and Jared Spencer asked me to shoot their renewal of vows in Vegas I jumped at the opportunity. Some details of the day included a Vintage Red Cadillac, a Stephanie James Couture Dress, a reception at the Bellagio in front of the fountains, and even Blue Shoes for the groom. The day was super hot (over a 100 degrees) but that didn't stop anyone from having fun. More pictures to follow down the road.

Guthrie Castle Wedding | Scotland Wedding

I just finished the final editing of seven thousand seven hundred fifty nine photos taken over in Scotland and Holland. And six thousand of those were in Scotland and I figured the least I could do is share a few of the wedding shots :-). I am not a big "wedding blogger" as I like leaving those for the website, but a wedding at a Castle in Scotland only comes around every so often.

Our wedding took place at Guthrie Castle about an hour and a half north of Edinburgh in the Scottish countryside. Over 60 friends and family came from the States to see the awesome Bride and Groom get married!

Damn Bikes!!!

Amsterdam Bikes that is. I was Amazed at how many bikes I saw in Amsterdam. There is actually a separate path for bikes next to the street for them to ride on. And all to often did I, and many other tourists, take the liberty of walking in this path with the bikes and then realize that was a Very Very bad idea.

This shot was of the outside of a three level parking garage for bicycles. As you see, bikes take up nearly every portion of the frame.

I don't know these people at all. Just a randon shot with my CoolPix. But thought it was funny that the smiling biker had a Massachusetts shirt on. Does anyone know this guy, lol??

I AMSTERDAM

After a week in Scotland, we have made it to Amsterdam. And what an Amazing city! Basically it is the "Venice" of the north. It is such a colorful and architecturally rich city. The Dutch are extremely friendly, the city is hip with a cozy "gezelligheid" vibe. Canals and bridges are everywhere. So are coffee shops, bars, and restaurants on every corner. Bikes...never seen so many in my life. Even the women ride them to work in high heels. This city is a definitely one to put on your "must see" list!

Will the Real Budweiser Please Stand Up

Found this beer at a party we went to in Edinburgh. And no, it isn't produced by Anheuser-Busch . This Czech Republic beer was actually started back in 1795. Our American Budweiser wasn't started until 1876. And the best part... it tasted like beer unlike our Budweiser.
